Mmmmm. I don't have a recipe for you. But, you can get the recipe for these out of Vegan with a Vengeance. They are the Fig Not-ins on page 202. Now, I don't know if this is how they are supposed to look. But, I don't care. They taste so good. I am wondering if I could experiment with different flavored fillings. I do love the fig, but mmm how about some strawberry or raspberry type filling??

Another recipe from this cookbook... It looks interesting. Maybe I should order it. Is there no photo at all ? How many recipes are listed ?

It's a great cookbook. There are some pictures. Just not of this recipe. I would highly recommend this cookbook. I have loved everything I have tried out of it so far.

They look yummy! Were they hard to make?

Hard? nahhh. They were a little more labor intensive than the "regular" cookie. But, that's just because you have to chill the dough and then later roll it out. But, I wouldn't call them hard.

Oh, that does look Great! I've been thinking about using the dough for a hammentaschen (sp?) style recipe, as people have been doing on the ppk forums..exciting!

They look great! My dough looks smoother but yours have an imperfect homemade look that I really like. That didn't sound like a compliment but really it is!

I just flipped through that cookbook last night, and noted this recipe. They look fantastic, and I'm glad to hear a good review. I might just have to go back and pick up a copy!
